I design logos for all of my online professional learning courses. The course shown on the left was design for teachers at both the elementary and secondary levels. As so, I wanted the course logo and graphics to appeal to both elementary and secondary teachers. Since the course focused around Schoology, I used the black and light blue colors from the Schoology logo. In addition, I incorporated the county blended learning logo in the book. Since this course focused on blended learning, I included a laptop, book and pencil to represent the online and offline components of this type of instruction.
Below is the page banner which appears in each Schoology page for the same course. I kept the laptop portion of the course logo to brand the course throughout. The doodle icons were added to give a more whimsical appearance. Again, the use of the notebook paper as the background helped remind teachers that blended learning was about more than just the computer.
